Federal MP Razim Halkić (SDP) finally convicted of influence peddling

(Patria) - Federal MP and President of the SDP Cantonal Committee of USC Razim Halkić has been finally convicted of the criminal offense of receiving a reward or other benefit for influence peddling.

Halkić was conditionally sentenced to six months in prison, which will not be executed if he does not commit a new criminal offense within two years of the verdict becoming final.

The Cantonal Court in Bihać passed the verdict at the beginning of this month, and it was amended compared to the first-instance verdict.

More precisely, Halkić's appeal was partially accepted. By the first-instance verdict, he was conditionally sentenced to nine months in prison with a probation period of five years.

Halkić became widely known for a recording in which he spoke about trading positions in exchange for government support, which he denied at the time, stating that it was a fabrication.
