Federal Civil Protection Headquarters: Order Issued to Designate Quarantine Space

(Patria) - In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, the eighth extraordinary session of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters (FSCZ) was held today (March 26) in Sarajevo, chaired by Headquarters Chief Fahrudin Solak.

At today's session, the FSCZ issued an order concerning the designation of quarantine space. It orders the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH to urgently prepare an epidemiological report and submit it to the Federal Ministry of Health for the purpose of issuing a decision on placing individuals in quarantine and designating quarantine space following the announced arrival of a charter flight from Rome at Sarajevo International Airport, scheduled for March 27, 2020.

This order requires JP Sarajevo International Airport to undertake all hygienic-epidemiological disinfection measures for luggage immediately after unloading from the aircraft, and the BiH Border Police to undertake all measures within their jurisdiction to ensure the shortest possible passenger stay at Sarajevo International Airport, while respecting all preventive measures and disinfection measures in accordance with previous orders. The Federal Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ) is tasked with providing transportation for passengers and luggage after the procedures at the airport are completed to the designated quarantine location.

JP Sarajevo International Airport, the Cantonal Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, the Public Health Institute of Sarajevo Canton, the Federal Ministry of Health, and the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs are responsible for the implementation of this order.
