Faruk Podrug is fighting for his life and needs our help

Faruk Podrug, 23, is fighting for his life and human compassion is needed so that, through a joint effort, we can save the life of another young man, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.   

After being diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia two years ago, he underwent eight rounds of chemotherapy and treatment cycles. Faruk's condition improved, but in August 2014 the disease relapsed and transformed into T-cell lymphoblastic leukemia. The therapy he is undergoing is difficult to administer in Bosnia and Herzegovina because the necessary drug, Nelarabine/Atriance, is not available, nor is it stocked by the Clinical Pharmacy of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo.

The cost of the drug Nelarabine for one therapy is 31,416.18 BAM, and since Faruk needs two therapies, the required amount for treatment is 62,832.36 BAM.
