Fahrudin Solak dismissed as Director of the FUCZ

(Patria) - The FBiH Government today, at an urgent, telephonically held session, passed a Decision dismissing Fahrudin Solak from the position of Director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, effective January 26, 2024, due to meeting the conditions for termination of employment in a state service body in accordance with Article 51, paragraph (1), point i) of the Law on Civil Service in FBiH.

As stated in the explanation of the adopted Decision, the Commission for Administrative Affairs of the FBiH Government was provided with information from the Federal Civil Protection Administration on February 12, 2024, with an attached document from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Commission requested an Opinion on the termination of employment from the Agency for Civil Service of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This agency provided an Opinion on February 27, 2024, which states, among other things, that the conditions from Article 51, paragraph (1), point i) of the Law on Civil Service in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been met for the termination of employment of civil servant Fahrudin Solak, in the position of Director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, due to a conviction for a criminal offense and due to serving a prison sentence, he must be absent from work in state service for more than six months, as determined by a final and binding verdict of the Court of BiH.

Bearing the above in mind, the Commission for Administrative Affairs of the FBiH Government, at yesterday's urgent session, determined the Proposal for a decision on the dismissal of the Director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, effective January 26, 2024, considering the statements from the BiH Court's document that the verdict became final on January 26, 2024.
