BIMAL Factory Brčko - domestic NON-GMO producer

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Brčko edible oil production factory BIMAL has passed the certification process in accordance with the Guidelines for labeling and control of NON-GMO food products in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and according to the NON-GMO standard.

At a joint conference of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and Dunav Soja in Sarajevo, the importance of NON-GMO labeling in our country was discussed.

"Thanks to the NON-GMO Guidelines and the NON-GMO Dunav Soja standard, we finally have the opportunity to respond to the initiative of consumers who want a choice when shopping, and to soon label our products with the 'PRODUCED WITHOUT GMO' mark because they are produced from raw materials that are guaranteed to be free of genetic modifications. We have passed the certification process for our entire production, and while awaiting the certificate, we can say with great satisfaction that BIMAL is a domestic NON-GMO producer," said Nataša Pucar, Director of Corporate Communications of STUDEN Holding, which includes the edible oil production factory BIMAL.

Since its acquisition in 2002, BIMAL has been committed to NON-GMO production, and there has never been room for compromise on this decision, therefore this label is an excellent opportunity for all BiH producers to highlight their added value and thus respond to the demands of modern consumers, stated the BIMAL company.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović said on this occasion that the 'PRODUCED WITHOUT GMO' label has opened a new opportunity for domestic producers, and that Bingo and BIMAL companies have recognized the importance of choice when shopping and informing our customers.

BIMAL company products, along with Bingo's consumption eggs, will carry the 'PRODUCED WITHOUT GMO' label on the shelves of stores across the country. In this way, the demand of 90% of surveyed citizens in BiH has been successfully met.
