European Championship: Handball Dragons Debut Against Norway

(Patria) - The schedule of matches for the men's handball national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 14th European Championship in Sweden, Norway, and Austria 2020 has been released.

The team led by coach Bilal Šuman will play three matches in Group D on January 10, 12, and 14. Today is the first match on the schedule, against the Norwegians.

The Norwegians are absolute favorites, not only in tomorrow's match against BiH, but they are seen as one of the medal contenders. The coach of our national team, Bilal Šuman, is aware of this, emphasizing that his players know which national team they are facing, but that they will do everything to offer worthy resistance.

The greatest danger, Šuman points out, comes from the counter-attacks of the Norwegian national team. The key for our handball players, the coach states, will be to play good defense.

"I want us to also run counter-attacks and fast breaks, where the Norwegians are dominant. Against Denmark, three or four days ago, they had 25 counter-attacks. This means they finish their attacks very quickly, so there will be a huge focus on getting back into defense and trying to play six against six at all times," said Šuman.
