(Patria) - The European Network of Transmission System Operators (ENTSO-E) is investigating an incident that occurred yesterday in part of the electricity supply system in Southeast Europe, it was announced today on the "ENTSO-E" website.
The statement notes that the incident occurred in Albania, Montenegro, BiH and partially Croatia.
"Affected network system operators, with the support of neighbouring operators, restored normal voltage flow after nearly two hours in order to mitigate the impact of the problem on consumers," the statement said.
"ENTSO-E" is currently working on collecting technical data on the incident from the affected operators and will publish additional information as soon as possible.
In accordance with the incident classification methodology, the System Operations Committee will conduct a detailed investigation of the incident in the coming weeks, with the support of an expert team.
Several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Albania were left without electricity yesterday due to problems in the transmission network in the region and overload of key interconnection lines.
