(Patria) - The European Union today called on all parties in BiH to respect court decisions and avoid "divisions", after Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik was sentenced to prison for disrespecting the decisions of High Representative Christian Schmidt.
- The EU expects all political actors in BiH to respect court decisions and recognize their independence and impartiality, without exerting any pressure or interference - said European Commission spokesperson Anouar El Anouni.
El Anouni stated at a press conference that Brussels calls on all actors to refrain from provocative and divisive rhetoric and actions, including questioning the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the country.
- The European Union is unequivocally committed to the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a single, united, and sovereign state - stated El Anouni.
He added that the EU calls on all BiH politicians to focus on the European path, in the interest of the citizens, the vast majority of whom support European integration.
