Everton to change owners

(Patria) - English Premier League club Everton will definitely change owners, after an agreement was reached for the takeover by US investment fund 777 Partners.

The owner of the Toffees, Farhad Moshiri, has agreed to sell a 94% stake to the Miami-based fund.

This marks the end of the era of the British-Iranian businessman, which began in 2016.

His era was not popular among Everton fans, which is not surprising considering the club's increasingly poor results. In recent seasons, the reality has been a fight for survival.

This takeover means that half of the Premier League clubs will have US owners, reports RTCG.

The 777 Partners fund controls Sevilla, Hertha Berlin, Standard Liège, and also bought a 45% stake in the British Basketball League in 2021.
