(Patria) - A roundtable discussion was held at Camp Butmir, addressing the current security environment and the continuation of international cooperation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The hosts of the meeting were the Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, and the Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo. International representatives also attended, including the Head of the European Union Delegation, Luigi Soreca, reports Hayat.ba
The unified message was that the international community remains committed to preserving peace and stability in BiH.
The main message after the roundtable is clear and unambiguous – the international community remains firmly united in its commitment to preserving peace, stability, and security in BiH. In this time of increasing geopolitical uncertainty, continued dialogue, cooperation, and coordination among international partners remain of key importance – said the Commander of EUFOR in BiH, Maurizio Fronda.
He added that the meeting also discussed the possible global impact on regional stability.
This includes discussions on crises coming from the Middle East, energy security issues, migration pressures, as well as the constant challenges posed by hybrid threats. We also see that disinformation and foreign influences can seek to undermine public trust, weaken institutional resilience, and contribute to instability. In this increasingly complex environment, close cooperation, a common stance, a coordinated response, and international engagement are more important than ever – said Fronda.
