EPBiH: We are not involved in the investigation at the 'Kamengrad' mine, we procure coal in accordance with the law

(Patria) - Regarding the action carried out by the Federal Police Administration at the 'Kamengrad' mine in Sanski Most, owned by the company Lager d.o.o. Posušje, we inform the public that Elektroprivreda BiH is not involved in any illegal activities that are the subject of this investigation.

Elektroprivreda BiH operates exclusively in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all prescribed procurement procedures. Coal procurement is carried out through transparent and legally based public procurement procedures, and business cooperation with suppliers is based exclusively on valid contracts and tender procedures.

Cooperation with the 'Kamengrad' mine in Sanski Most, as well as with other mines, is part of the continuous activities of supplying the production system of Elektroprivreda BiH, which is carried out in accordance with the energy strategy and the needs of the electricity market in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We emphasize that Elektroprivreda BiH does not have the mandate or the capacity to conduct investigative actions or checks of the internal operations of the companies and mines with which it cooperates, but relies on relevant competent institutions that should ensure the legality of operations. The role of Elektroprivreda BiH is limited to conducting legally prescribed public procurement procedures, verifying the quality and quantity of delivered coal, and making payments under agreed terms.

Elektroprivreda BiH calls on the competent institutions to inform the public in a timely manner about the results of the investigation, in order to eliminate any ambiguities.

Elektroprivreda BiH will, as before, continue with transparent operations and adhere to all regulations that ensure legality and accountability in our work.
