The Bosnia and Herzegovina national sitting volleyball team recorded its first victory at the European Championship being held in Germany, defeating the Hungarian selection 3:0, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Coach Mirza Hrustemović's players were better than Hungary in sets (25:13, 25:17, 25:17).
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team plays in Group B with the teams of the Netherlands, Serbia and Hungary, in Group A are Germany, Poland, Croatia and Italy, and in Group C Russia, Ukraine, Latvia and Azerbaijan.
Coach Hrustemović's list includes 17 players:
Sabahudin Delalić (captain), Dževad Hamzić, Asim Medić, Safet Alibašić, Beniz Kadrić, Ermin Jusufović, Muhamed Kapetanović, Nizam Čančar, Ismet Godinjak, Adnan Manko, Mirzet Duran, Adnan Kešmer, Edin Džino, Armin Šehić, Jasmin Brkić, Adin Likić and Damir Grbić.
Our team plays their next match on Saturday against the Netherlands at 4:00 PM, and on Sunday at 1:00 PM against Serbia.
From October 5 to October 7 is the final stage of the European Championship (placement matches).
The Bosnia and Herzegovina selection has been European champion eight times so far.
