(Patria) - Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine has activated all available personnel and technical capacities to ensure conditions for electricity supply in areas affected by floods, given that the distribution network and other facilities have suffered significant damage.
EP BiH stated that, despite extremely difficult conditions, destroyed road infrastructure, and hampered system functioning, power supply has been established in certain areas of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
They added that for the most critical settlements, efforts are being made to enable electricity supply by finding alternative solutions.
For the Jablanica area, a plan for the repair of damaged power lines has been made to restore supply to customers whose residential and business premises have not been destroyed, EP BiH stated.
As announced, the situation in the Neretva river basin is gradually stabilizing, and system management at hydroelectric power plants is underway with the aim of fully stabilizing inflow. Thanks to the implementation of regular activities, major damage to facilities at the Jablanica, Grabovica, and Salakovac power plants has been avoided.
"Elektroprivreda BiH and Elektroprivreda HZHB are carrying out coordinated activities in repairing faults on facilities in the Central Bosnia Canton in order to ensure regular electricity supply as soon as possible," they emphasized.
