Energoinvest forwards request to FBiH Government for a new gas price reduction of 1.63 percent

(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry has received a request from Energoinvest to reduce prices for tariff customers by 1.63% for the IV quarter of 2025, from the current 808.85 KM/1,000 Sm³ to 795.67 KM/1,000 Sm³, effective from 1.10.2025.

The reduction in gas prices for the IV quarter is conditioned by developments on the global gas and oil markets and the fact that Energoinvest has an agreed method of calculating natural gas prices with the Russian supplier based on a gas formula, and not exclusively on market prices.

Due to the method of determining gas prices with the gas supplier, prices are determined according to a defined formula for each quarter individually, and therefore the same approach is applied to end customers.



- This is already the third price reduction, without a single increase, in just over a year of operation of the new Management. At the same time, official Eurostat data clearly show that the price of natural gas in BiH is among the lowest in Europe - says Energoinvest Director Mirza Ustamujić.

He points out that our country does not have its own gas storage facilities or deposits, nor a developed network of interconnections.

- Despite these limitations, thanks to Energoinvest's responsible policy and partnership cooperation with the FBiH Government, we are managing to ensure stable and affordable supply for our citizens and economy - adds Ustamujić.

If the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopts Energoinvest's proposal, this wholesale price of natural gas for distribution companies would apply from 01.10.2025.
