Emrić and Mehmedović demand information from the BiH Prosecutor's Office: Why no action on criminal complaint against Krišto and Ćulum?

(Patria) - State deputies Jasmin Emrić and Šemsudin Mehmedović addressed the BiH Prosecutor's Office with a letter requesting information on the status of the case opened against Borjana Krišto, following a criminal complaint they filed on July 21.

They reported Krišto for abuse of official position under Article 220 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

"It is an undisputed fact that the acting prosecutor, even after two months since the filing of the criminal complaint, has not issued an order to launch an investigation, nor has he issued an order not to conduct an investigation and informed the complainants about it. We believe that enough time has passed for the Prosecutor's Office to make a final prosecutorial decision, as we, the complainants, have no knowledge that anything has been done regarding the complaint, nor that Borjana Krišto has even been heard regarding the filed criminal complaint," the deputies state.

They requested to be provided with the criminal case number and the name of the acting prosecutor in order to file a complaint against him with the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office of the HJPC due to a violation established by Article 57 of the Law on the HJPC.

Emrić and Mehmedović also requested information in the case of Darko Ćulum, against whom they also filed a criminal complaint for several criminal offenses, in connection with leaving the position of Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency.

"On September 2, 2025, we received notification that a case has been formed regarding our criminal complaint and that it has the status 'OPEN', whatever that may mean. It is an undisputed fact that the acting prosecutor has not issued an order to launch an investigation, nor has he issued an order not to conduct an investigation and informed the complainants about it. We believe that enough time has passed for the Prosecutor's Office to make a final prosecutorial decision, as we, the complainants, have no knowledge that anything has been done regarding the complaint, nor that Darko Ćulum has even been heard regarding the filed criminal complaint," state Emrić and Mehmedović.

In this case as well, they requested the name of the acting prosecutor against whom they will file a complaint with the Disciplinary Prosecutor's Office of the HJPC,
