(Patria) - Today, a commemoration began at the National Theatre in Sarajevo on the occasion of the death of the legendary BiH singer Halid Bešlić, who passed away on Tuesday, October 7.
Emir Hadžihafizbegović, actor and long-time friend of Halid Bešlić, pointed out to those present that the singer's testament in life was to live without prejudice:
"If I had to say what I learned from him, it is precisely that – to have no prejudice. If you have them, life is hell; if you don't, life is beautiful. People are divided into different categories, but generally into realized and unrealized. This is not a matter of a diploma; a shepherd can be realized, and a doctor of science unrealized. It is a matter of your spiritual vertical. Today we are bidding farewell to a realized man. Halid has put all things in order. He is going to some other, better world."
Hadžihafizbegović concluded emotionally:
"If I had to say what Halid is, I would say – Halid is equal to Bosnia."
He emphasized that he dislikes the deception that Halid reconciled people in the region.
"People who came to Halid's concerts did not quarrel. The world has lost, and the afterlife has gained! EL-Fatiha," Emir added.
