(Patria) - The women's super-G race in the Alpine Skiing World Cup, which was supposed to be held today in the Swiss ski resort of Val di Fassa, has been cancelled.
Race officials made such a decision after yesterday's cancellation of the race due to heavy snowfall, which continued during the past night, burying the slopes in large quantities of snow.
This is a great pity for the Bosnian-Herzegovinian skier Elvedina Muzaferija, who was supposed to start with the best start number of her career, but also had the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup finals through these two races.
It is not impossible that FIS officials will decide on a replacement competition, but there are no indications of that at the moment.
