Elmedin Kikanović cancels appearance for BiH national team

Alba's great basketball player Elmedin Kikanović will miss the pre-qualifiers for the World Cup due to a knee injury, reports Patria agency.

- I have problems with my knees and the injury requires rest and therapy, so unfortunately I will miss these pre-qualifiers for Mundobasket - Kikanović confirmed to "Nezavisne", who had a great season behind him, in which he was one of the best and most efficient BiH players.

The center of the BiH team in the Eurocup averaged 14.8 points per game, and twice earned the title of MVP of the round. He was even more efficient in the German championship, where he scored 15.6 points per match.

The pre-qualifiers are played in August, and it will be an additional problem for the newly appointed coach Duško Vujošević if he does not have NBA players, Jusuf Nurkić and Mirza Teletović, available.
