
(Patria) - Elektroprivreda of Republika Srpska and Elektroprivreda Herceg-Bosne have suspended the payment of grid fees to the state-owned company Elektroprijenos BiH, Istraga.ba has learned.
Grid fees cover the costs of construction, maintenance, and modernization of the electricity distribution network, including power lines, substations, and poles, as well as regular maintenance of meters and measuring equipment.
Furthermore, this fee ensures a safe and stable supply of electricity.
In recent months, only Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been paying the grid fees.
Elektroprijenos BiH is a state-owned company engaged in the transmission of electrical energy throughout the entire country.
The company's capital is held by shareholders in the following proportions: Federation of BiH 58.90 percent, and Republika Srpska 41.10 percent.
The activities of Elektroprijenos BiH include the transmission of electrical energy and all related activities, which include, but are not limited to, the transmission, maintenance, construction, and expansion of the electricity transmission network in BiH.
The company's activities are regulated by the State Regulatory Commission for Electricity (DERK).
