Elektroprivreda Rs borrowed 92.5 million KM in two days

(Patria) - Elektroprivreda Rs (ERs) borrowed 92.5 million marks from commercial banks in the last two days of last year, the portal Capital.ba has learned.

First, on Monday, December 30, director Luka Petrović signed a decision on a loan of 14 million marks from Unicredit bank Banja Luka.

It does not state the terms under which the loan will be realized, nor for what purposes it will be used. What is known is that the bank will receive 1.53 million KM in costs.

A day later, on December 31, Petrović made a decision to select Banka Poštanska Štedionica as the most favorable bidder for a loan of 78.5 million marks. This is a loan guaranteed by the Government of Rs.

The interest rate that ERs will pay for this borrowing is five percent, and the repayment period is only three months.

How the loan money will be spent remains unknown, as Petrović did not answer phone calls.

The holes in the power system are huge. RiTE Ugljevik, as the largest producer, has been out of operation for days, forcing ERs to import electricity.

On the other hand, management in dependent companies is not inclined to save. Money was wasted in all directions during the past year.

For example, the Trebišnjica Hydroelectric Power Plants allocated 750,000 KM for advertising their monopoly position. They spent more than 30,000 KM on New Year's gift packages alone.

The Drina Hydroelectric Power Plants spent almost 47,000 KM for the company's anniversary celebration, and around 57,000 KM for promotional materials.

The bill for wasteful business is being presented to citizens, who will pay more for electricity starting this year.
