(Patria) - From January 1, 2025, JP Elektroprivreda BiH will begin full implementation of the new Law on Electric Energy, under which all consumers, except households, will switch to market supply.
This is evident from the contracts submitted to certain legal entities. Almir Bečarević, who has previously spoken about Elektroprivreda's business problems, explains what this means.
"This means that compared to current electricity prices, the increase for the lower tariff from January 1, 2025, will be approximately 160%, and the increase for the higher tariff will be slightly over 100%," says Bečarević.
Otherwise, JP EPBIH submits these proposals to its customers on a "take it or leave it" basis.

"No one has to agree to these conditions, but then you look for a supplier yourself. I believe that serious companies will do that if they find a better deal," adds Bečarević.
This proposal makes it clear that JP Elektroprivreda BIH is moving towards destroying all its customers in the business sector.
"The price of the higher tariff, converted to MWh, is approximately EUR 150, which is an unreasonable amount considering the prices on the exchanges and comparing prices for businesses in the region.
Elektroprivreda is collapsing and with this proposal, it will drag all its customers down with it, and bring households to their knees because a 10% increase is not the end of increases for households," adds Bečarević.
We remind you that from August 1, citizens in parts of FBiH who are users of Elektroprivreda BiH are paying a higher price for electricity.
The electricity price increase for the household category is 10.04 percent, and for the other consumption category, it is 7.29 percent.
Otherwise, in the first half of the year, Elektroprivreda's revenues fell by KM 32 million and 408 thousand compared to the same period last year, and the loss increased from KM 24 million to KM 26 million.
Current price for the other consumption category at 0.4 kV voltage, tariff group I:
7.45 f/kWh lower tariff
14.89 f/kWh higher tariff
From 09/01/2024 to 12/31/2024
8.25 f/kWh lower tariff
19.36 f/kWh higher tariff
From 01/01/2025 to 08/31/2025
19.36 f/kWh lower tariff
30.55 f/kWh higher tariff
