Emergency Session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly: Deputy Ministers from SNSD Removed with Ramić's Help, HDZ Opposed

(Patria) - The 23rd emergency session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly has begun. A large number of representatives are not present, but there is a quorum for work.

The SNSD and partners' Club (eight representatives) did not attend the session, nor was Marinko Čavara from HDZ present, who arrived later and voted against one of the dismissals. Also, Branislav Borenović from PDP did not attend the session.

The agenda includes only the initiative to dismiss deputy ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH from the ranks of SNSD: Aleksandar Goganović, Deputy Minister of Defence; Ognjen Janjić, Deputy Minister of Communications and Transport; and Marijana Mojić, Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs.

The proposers are MPs Saša Magazinović, Chair of the SDP BiH MP Club; Nihad Omerović, Chair of the NiP MP Club; Sabina Ćudić, Chair of the NS - BHI KF MP Club; Jasmin Imamović; Albin Muslić; Rejhana Dervišević; Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević; Denis Zvizdić; and Mia Karamehić-Abazović.

No MP registered for discussion, after which voting followed.

26 MPs voted for the dismissal of Goganović, and 25 MPs voted for the dismissal of Janjić.

The dismissal of Marijana Mojić was supported by 26 MPs. Three HDZ MPs voted against each of these dismissals. Meanwhile, MPs from SDA, DF, NIP, SDP—at least those who were present—and the opposition from the RS voted for the dismissal. It should be noted that none of these dismissals would have passed had Edin Ramić (SDA), who comes from the RS, not voted.

The dismissal of deputy ministers must also be confirmed by the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, but as in the case of the dismissal of Srđan Amidžić and Staša Košarac, whom the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly dismissed on February 25, this dismissal has never yet been considered before the other house due to the breaking of quorum at sessions and the walkout of SNSD delegates.

The next regular session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly will be held on April 15.
