Explosion at Solidarity Square: Police searching for perpetrator

(Patria) - Yesterday morning, at Solidarity Square number 4, Novi Grad municipality, an as yet unknown explosive device was activated. As confirmed by the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, the explosion was caused by a currently unknown person, and the incident caused significant material damage.

Numerous residential and commercial buildings, as well as a number of motor vehicles, were damaged.

Police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene, who confirmed the allegations of the report. An investigation was carried out by a team from the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, and the duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office was also informed.

The Prosecutor's Office qualified this event as the criminal offense of causing general danger (Article 323 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and damaging another's property (Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The investigation is ongoing, and the police are intensively searching for the perpetrator.
