(Patria) - High Representative Paddy Ashdown annulled the decision to name Sarajevo International Airport after the first President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alija Izetbegović.
The Mayor of Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality and President of the Party for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Semir Efendić, reminded of this in a post on his Facebook profile today.
Efendić also reminds that the current High Representative Christian Schmidt equated the first president Izetbegović with Ratko Mladić, a convicted war criminal for genocide, in his statement.
"That's from them. And from us and for us, it should at least be that we don't give them that airport at any cost.
There is not a single reason why we should allow any foreign concessionaire to manage our property.
That is the best response to those who insult us, and they ask us to manage our airport, which is developing and doing very well.
That concession request is nothing more than an insult that must not be accepted, regardless of blackmail and insults," Efendić stated.
