Efendić: BiH is in the deepest crisis since Dayton, institutions are not functioning, and the public is getting used to it

(Patria) - The President of the Party of BiH, Semir Efendić, was a guest on the show 7Plus on Hayat TV and spoke openly about the serious political and security crisis the country is in.

BiH institutions cannot do their job, at least not on the territory of RS. Efendić claims this is the result of Milorad Dodik's desired policy, who has "successfully shown that this country has no effective border police or security agencies". The problem, he says, is that the public is starting to get used to such a situation.

The judiciary is silent, although there are all the elements for an indictment against Minister Karan.

“Imagine talking about a government reshuffle in this situation,” says Efendić, pointing the finger at parties that have “trampled on principles by entering into government with Dodik and Čović”.

As an example of powerlessness, he cited the unrealized order of Minister Helez, which was supposed to ban Dodik and others indicted from entering the barracks – but they entered without any problems. “What does a criminal complaint mean if there is no political force to enforce it?”

At the same time, the opposition from RS is offering a new coalition, which Efendić sees as an attempt to divert attention. The only positive thing, according to him, is the declarative support for the Dayton Agreement from that entity.

"The biggest problem is the lack of political will to defend the country. Those who are destroying the country act as if no one can do anything to them – because truly, no one is doing anything to them.”
