(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Italy tonight and qualified for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The captain of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Edin Džeko, addressed social media after the great success.
"See you at the World Cup! I love you Bosnia and Herzegovina," Džeko wrote.
Džeko had the support of his family tonight, parents, wife, and children, who joined him on the field at Bilino Polje.
Although he sustained a shoulder injury, Džeko gritted his teeth once again, covering the pain with a smile and happiness.
Even coach Sergej Barbarez could not speak in detail about Džeko's injury. But everything should be clearer tomorrow.
