More than 1,000 Roma fans came to the airport to welcome Edin Džeko, who is expected to sign a five-year contract after tomorrow's medical examination, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria. Around 19:30 he landed at Rome's airport, and the fans greeted him with a smile and immediately presented him with a club scarf, which was placed around his neck.
The saga surrounding the transfer of the Bosnian Diamond from English Manchester City to Roma lasted for months.
It should be noted that Džeko will play in Roma alongside his national teammate Miralem Pjanić, whose duels in the coming period will delight thousands of fans both in Italy and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
