Edin Džeko calls on voters to support Ćamil Duraković for Mayor of Srebrenica

Bosnia and Herzegovina's top scorer Edin Džeko has called on voters to support Ćamil Duraković for Mayor of Srebrenica in the upcoming Local Elections in BiH, writes Patria.

- Let's support Ćamil Duraković for Mayor of Srebrenica – said Džeko in a video posted on social media.

Local elections will be held in BiH in October. It is important for BiH, as well as for the international community, that the current mayor Ćamil Duraković, who is pro-European oriented, wins the elections in Srebrenica again.

Genocide against Bosniaks was committed in Srebrenica in 1995. For many, it is important that someone who will not deny the genocide leads Srebrenica, but who will simultaneously work on reconciliation between Bosniaks and Serbs.

Duraković was previously supported by another BiH national team player Vedad Ibišević, as well as legendary boxer Andan Ćatić.
