Our best tennis player was defeated in the semifinals by the world number 24, American Sam Querrey, with a score of 2-1 in sets.
Džumhur started the match well, winning the first set 6:3, lost the second 6:4, and in the third set he had some minor health issues that forced him to call a medical timeout, which resulted in losing the set 6:4.
A real shame for Damir, because had he reached the final, he would have played against the world number 454, Thanasi Kokkinakis from Australia, and there is no doubt that our tennis player would have been the favorite.
