(Patria) - Miners from the Stara jama and Raspotočje pits have suspended work due to the decision of the Management of the Subsidiary Company of Brown Coal Mines Zenica to reduce their salaries for March by about 200 KM.
The union was not informed about this nor did it give its consent to such a decision.
"Reducing someone's salary by 200 KM in these times, especially when production is 49,000 tons per month, is neither normal nor okay," is the message from the Union.
As confirmed to Patria, the relevant minister Nermin Džindić spoke with the General Director of Elektroprivreda, Admir Andelija, and ordered that this problem be resolved urgently.
