Edin Džeko, Manchester City striker and captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, was injured tonight in the match against QPR, reports the Patria news agency.
What everyone feared unfortunately happened in the 68th minute of the match. Džeko entered the game in the 64th minute, replacing Fernandinho. However, four minutes later he had to leave the pitch due to injury.
There is still no official information on the severity of the injury, but several other City players have similar problems. As Patria learns, Džeko will appear in Sarajevo on Monday, where he will undergo an MRI scan to determine the exact extent of the injury.
He will undergo the MRI scan accompanied by the doctor of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, after which it will be known whether our best footballer will be able to play in the match against Israel in Haifa, which is scheduled for November 16 as part of the qualifiers for the European Championship in France.
