Džeko: We need a man who will share our passion for success

Regarding the recent situation with the now former coach of the BiH national football team, Safet Sušić, captain Edin Džeko also commented on his Facebook profile, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

- I am following everything that has been happening in BiH in the last few days, and as the captain of the national team, I feel the need to address the fans, the media, and everyone who carries the BiH national team in their hearts, Edin Džeko wrote on his Facebook profile.

First, no one will ever dispute that Safet Sušić took us to the World Cup. He will remain inscribed in the hearts of all of us as the man who, together with us, qualified for the World Cup. I wish the former coach, with whom I had an excellent relationship, much luck in his future career.

Unfortunately, in the qualifiers for the Euro, some things went wrong, and the people from the Association decided it was time for changes, and that should also be respected. However, all of us together, starting with the players, the coach, and the people from the Association, should ask ourselves if we gave our best. Are we also partly to blame for everything that happened, and only then look for fault in others for the poorly played matches.

We were lucky in the last qualifiers, everything went our way, and it paid off in the end. Now, we need a man who will sincerely believe with us that we can reach the EP. The chances still exist. Yes, they are smaller than before, but as long as there is even a minimum chance of qualifying for the Euro, we must believe that we will succeed in going to France.

The people from the Association choose the coach, not us or the media, and it is our job to believe that we will get a man who, together with our fans and us players, will share the same passion for success. It's not over yet, I believe we can and I will believe, just like my teammates - wrote Dijamant.
