Džeko saved the national team's honor

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team played a friendly match against Luxembourg in Zenica tonight, and the final score was 1-0 for the Dragons.

A chance for our team in the first minute, Moris saves Prevljak's shot. Three minutes later, a chance for Demirović as well, without a change in the score.

A dangerous attack from Luxembourg in the sixth minute, Bohnert made a great run, Ahmedhodžić saves at the last moment. In the 27th minute, Danilović shot well, but goalkeeper Moris was focused and saved his attempt. Two minutes later, a chance for the visitors, but our defense stops the dangerous Rodrigues.

Our defense faltered in the 37th minute, two Luxembourg players were left alone, but fortunately, an offside was called. In the 40th minute, a counter-attack for the Dragons, Nalić passed to Prevljak who shot terribly.

In the closing minutes of the first half, Nalić ruined another counter-attack for Bosnia and Herzegovina with a very weak shot in the final phase, then Moris saved a clear chance for Gojak, and the teams went into halftime with a 0-0 score.

The visitors had the first real chance in the second half. A nice move in the 55th minute, Rodrigues aimed well, the ball went slightly over Vasilj's goal.

In the 70th minute, the Dragons executed their first good attack of the second half, Džeko received the ball well and passed back to Ćivić who ruined it all with a poor cross.

In the 77th minute, a great chance for Menalo, whose shot was blocked by Carlson at the last moment. A minute later, Vasilj saved our national team, blocking a good shot from Rodrigues.

In the 86th minute, a goal was finally scored in Luxembourg's net. Miličević assisted, and Džeko scored for 1-0, which turned out to be the final result of this match.

Regardless of the victory, there is no room for optimism, as we were far from a good performance tonight as well.
