(Patria) - Captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team Edin Džeko visited the US Embassy with his family this morning, ahead of the team's historic trip to the United States this summer.
Chargé d'Affaires John Ginkel congratulated Džeko on the excellent result the team achieved on the qualification path and wished him and his family an American summer full of fun and celebration.
"Let's go BiH! Let's go USA!", the US Embassy said.
Džeko was injured in the last match against Italy, but it is expected that by mid-May he will be ready to return to the field.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team will play a friendly match against North Macedonia on May 29 at the "Asim Ferhatović Hase" stadium before traveling to the USA in early June.
Their first match at the World Cup awaits them against Canada in Canada on June 12.
