Edin Džeko, Manchester City footballer and captain of the BiH national team, who is currently preparing in Zenica, has extended his engagement as a goodwill ambassador with UNICEF, writes the news agency Patria.
He became a Goodwill Ambassador back in 2009. At the time, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, Florence Bauer, Head of the UNICEF Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, appointed Džeko as a UNICEF Ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In addition to being a successful athlete, popular at home and abroad, Edin Džeko has shown great dedication to children and youth, especially the most vulnerable categories.
