Džeko sinks Everton, brings City to the brink of title!

Edin Džeko has brought Manchester City to the top of the English Premier League for the first time since February of this year, with only two rounds left in the championship, reports the BH News Agency Patria (NAP). British media have paid great attention to the match against Everton, and "The Guardian" states that Manchester City has taken a giant step towards the title after Džeko sank Everton.  

The Bosnian striker led his club to a crucial victory in the title race with a phenomenal performance. In tonight's match against Everton at Goodison Park, he scored two beautiful goals in his team's 3-2 victory.

Džeko played the entire match, scoring goals in the 42nd and 48th minutes. Everton took a 1-0 lead, but Agüero equalized, only to leave the game shortly after due to injury. But then Džeko stepped up and decided the match with his goals. Everton scored another goal, which raised the tempo of the game, but City eventually celebrated.  

Džeko looked slow and uninterested in the opening minutes, according to the commentator of "The Guardian", and just when, as he writes, he intended to criticize him, Džeko exploded. The first header was extremely beautiful, and our striker beat the home goalkeeper with a precise shot from almost 12 meters.

He scored the second goal assisted by Nasri. Towards the end of the match, our striker injured his arm during a fall, but the referee refused to allow the medical team onto the field, claiming simulation. This caused angry protests from the City players, but the referee did not relent and gave Džeko a yellow card. Fortunately, the arm injury from the fall was not serious, and the match was extended by as many as seven minutes.   

The victory against Everton, against whom City has an extremely poor record in recent matches, is a big step towards winning a new title, reports NAP.
