Footballer Ervin Zukanović will continue his career at the trophy-winning Italian club Roma, writes the Patria News Agency.
Two other Bosnian internationals, Edin Džeko and Miralem Pjanić, also play for Roma, and Bosnian captain Džeko posted a photo of the three members of the Giallorossi on social media with the message "welcome to the family".
Zukanović, a former Sampdoria defender, was close to a transfer to German club Stuttgart, but it was announced on Thursday evening that the Roman "Giallorossi" had won the race for his signature against the German club.
The Bosnian and Herzegovinian international said that the "negotiations were quick". Zukanović arrived in Rome on Thursday evening and will play for Roma on loan.
The value of the contract is 1.5 million euros, with a buyout clause of 2.5 million euros, reports Football Italia.
The 28-year-old footballer, who can play as a left-back or centre-back, made 16 appearances in Serie A this season and scored three goals.
