Džeko holds press conference: I want to beat everyone including Lulić and Lazio

New striker of Italian club AS Roma Edin Džeko is looking forward to his club's first victory, he said today at a press conference where he was officially presented to the Italian media, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The new number 9 of coach Rudi Garcia said he hopes his stay in Italy will be as successful as the one at Manchester City.

Džeko also revealed that Miralem Pjanić, his national team teammate and Roma player, was one of the reasons for his decision to join this club, while another teammate, Senad Lulić who plays for Lazio, tried to dissuade him from it.

Answering journalists' questions, Džeko thanked everyone for coming and said that everything has been nice so far.

Roma has big plans for the future with fantastic players. I am very happy to be here and I will help the club reach its goal.

When asked what Walter Sabatini and Pjanić said that convinced him to move to Roma, Džeko said he is very close with Pjanić and that this will now deepen even more.

They told me a lot about Roma and the fans. I would like to thank Sabatini who put a lot of effort into bringing me here – said Džeko.

Džeko also commented on the match between Manchester City and Roma and said that at the time he thought Roma was an excellent team.

- Now I think it is even stronger than last season.
