Džeko after sinking Everton: Goals are my job!

Goals are my job, we have two more games and I believe we will win the championship title, said Manchester City and BiH national team striker Edin Džeko after last night's match.

Džeko scored two goals in a difficult but important away victory against Everton. His goals caused excitement and brought his team to the top of the table. After the match, Džeko gave an interview to the club's official television in which he said that this was an extremely important victory.

- We were under pressure when they took the lead, we haven't won on this ground for a long time, but we continued to play as we know how and we did a phenomenal job. This was the perfect moment to break that unpleasant tradition with Everton – said Džeko.

According to him, this was the most difficult of the three key matches, but Džeko emphasizes that he will not underestimate anyone until the end of the championship.

- Anyone who understands football could see that Everton did everything they could to beat us. The second half and the very end of the match were especially difficult. We had six minutes of added time, but we kept the ball and succeeded. The whole team played great – added Džeko.

Journalists were interested whether the hand injury sustained during a fall had any consequences, but the BiH player said he felt good and was looking forward to new matches. Džeko said that Agüero's injury should not be serious either and that he hopes his teammate will be back in the team on Wednesday.

- Everything is in our hands, as it was two years ago. Everyone expected us to beat QPR easily then, but we know that wasn't the case. I hope we learned something from that victory. As for me, I hope there will be more goals, but the most important thing is that the team wins – said Džeko, reports NAP.

Interestingly, Džeko's performance last night also worried the Nigerians. Their media are buzzing this morning about his goals and are warning their national team, nicknamed the "Eagles", that they will have big problems with Džeko in Brazil.

- "Dragon" Džeko sends a warning to the "Eagles" – states the Nigerian newspaper "The Sun", reports NAP.
