Džeko and Merlin Most Popular, Half a Million Bosnians Play Poker on FB

The most popular individuals among Facebook users in BiH, numbering over a million according to unofficial data, are Edin Džeko, the best BiH footballer, and Dino Merlin, the biggest music star, according to data from the website "Socialbakers", which was presented today at a conference in Sarajevo, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

At the conference titled "Social Media: What They Mean for Partner Countries", organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and NATO Headquarters in Brussels, data from social network monitoring was presented.

When it comes to celebrities, Edin Džeko, the BiH national football player, convincingly took first place with 219,945 fans from BiH. Dino Merlin is in second place with 163,612 fans.
What is interesting in this analysis is that two Serbs are in third and fourth place, namely tennis player Novak Đoković and singer Željko Joksimović. However, a big surprise is the position of Serbian singer Svetlana Ražnatović Ceca, who took a high eighth place with 123,176 fans from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among the top ten celebrities by number of fans are also Vedad Ibišević, the band Dubioza kolektiv, Seka Aleksić, and Emina Jahović. There are no BiH politicians among the Top 200 celebrities on FB.
The most visited FB page from BiH is the one where the popular card game poker is played in our country, and which is played by almost 600,000 users, reports NAP.
