Džeko definitely not playing: It's hard for me, but I believe in the team

Ahead of tomorrow's gathering of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, it is now certain that selector Sušić, in addition to Avdija Vršajević, who has been diagnosed with a rupture of the adductor of the right thigh instead of a rupture of the right ligament, will not be able to count on Edin Džeko for the upcoming qualifying match against Israel, reports the Patria news agency.

 Additional examinations confirmed this, and the doctor of our team, Dr. Reuf Karabeg, said:

- The injury is very serious and requires a certain recovery time which, unfortunately, conflicts with the possibility of a quick return to the field - said Karabeg.          

Edin Džeko will appear at the gathering in Zenica tomorrow, and after it was definitively confirmed that he will not play in Haifa, he stated:

 - It is extremely difficult for me that I will not play this match, especially because I had a good feeling. However, the injury came at the most inconvenient moment and I have to come to terms with it. I believe in the team, because I know we have the quality to achieve a good result in Haifa. Several of us are missing, but the players who are there should be given support and trust. I will wish them luck and, together with our fans, cheer for them to delight us with a good result, although we are all aware that, whether I play or not, a tough match awaits us - says Džeko.
