Džaferović: By the end of the year we could have a confirmed mandate holder for the Council of Ministers

Šefik Džaferović, the new Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that he wants the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to have constructive work in this term, backed by results, reports a reporter from the Patria news agency.

- I want Bosnia and Herzegovina to finally unblock its integration processes and finally give Bosnia and Herzegovina an economic boost in employment and all issues that are within the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina as one of those key institutions. If we follow the work from 2002 until today, we will see that from 2002 to 2006 Bosnia and Herzegovina had a strong momentum and that it is in the interest of all citizens. After that came the term from 2006 to 2010, which yielded some results such as the signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, but things had already started to stall, and the last term was a term of complete blockade and a term where some moves were made that were detrimental to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I believe detrimental to all who live in Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Džaferović.

He added that he wants this term to be one in which relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be stabilised, a term in which integration processes will be unblocked, and one that will give Bosnia and Herzegovina an economic boost.

- There are no obstacles to immediately start appointing the mandate holder for the Council of Ministers and its members. If this were done immediately, it is possible that by the end of the year we could have a confirmed mandate holder for the composition of the Council of Ministers - emphasised Džaferović.

Borjana Krišto, the first deputy chairperson of Džaferović, said that she is honoured to have been directly elected to the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that she is not thinking about taking on a position in the executive branch.

Mladen Bosić, the second deputy of Šefik Džaferović, said that it is time to stop conflicts in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to open conflicts against rampant corruption, against poverty, and the growing hopelessness in which Bosnia and Herzegovina finds itself.
