Two BiH athletes sanctioned for violating doping rules

(Patria) - The Appeals Committee of the Anti-Doping Control Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina has imposed bans from participating in sports on two Bosnian-Herzegovinian athletes.

"Handball player Deni Velić was sanctioned for refusing a doping test, thereby violating Article 2.3 of the World Anti-Doping Code and the Anti-Doping Rules in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been banned from participating in sports for four years," the agency stated.

They added that the second sanctioned athlete is judoka Kerim Hasić, who was sanctioned for using the prohibited substance fluticasone propionate, from group S9. (Glucocorticoids) on the Prohibited List for 2023. Hasić has been banned from participating in sports for two years.
