Two-day session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament: Numerous laws on the agenda, but also the dismissal of Mioković

(Patria) - The two-day session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH begins today, with several laws proposed under urgent procedure on the agenda.

Among these acts are the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Amount of Default Interest Rate on Public Revenues, the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Banks, the Bill on Electronic Money, as well as the Bill on Payment Services.

An urgent procedure has also been proposed for the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Microcredit Organizations, the Bill on Payment Accounts, and the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Protection of Financial Services Users, as well as amendments to the Law on Collection and Partial Write-off of Debts to Sports Collectives.

The Employers' Association of FBiH called on parliamentarians to adopt these laws, which would facilitate payments in the economic sector.

The Bill on Amendments to the Law on Determination and Realization of Citizens' Claims in Privatization Proceedings, as well as the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Uniform Principles and Framework for Material Support of Persons with Disabilities in FBiH, have been submitted to the parliamentary procedure under a shortened procedure.

Amendments to the Law on Employment of Foreigners, the Bill on Employment Mediation and Social Security of Unemployed Persons, and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Foster Care in FBiH have been announced under the regular procedure.

Reports on the work of the FBiH Government for 2023 and 2024 have also been proposed for this session.

A Declaration on the condemnation of fascist, Nazi, and anti-Semitic symbols, slogans, and messages in the FBiH, was proposed by the Caucus of Our Party.

The last announced item on the agenda is the initiative for the dismissal of the Speaker of the House, Dragan Mioković, proposed by the caucuses of HDZ BiH-HNS, HDZ 1990-HNP, and representatives Mario Karamatić (HSS) and Slaven Raguž (HRS).

In the meantime, the Caucus of Our Party submitted a request for the dismissal of Mladen Bošković from the positions of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, President of the Election and Appointment Committee, and President of the Constitutional-Legal Committee, but this dismissal is not on the agenda of the two-day session.

Opposition parties have confirmed that they will vote for the dismissal of Mioković.
