Duraković: Destabilization of Iran is a strategic interest of Zionism

The tectonic political disturbances in the Middle East, especially since the "Arab Spring", are entering a new phase with a serious attempt to destabilize Iran, which we are witnessing these days. This was to be expected, and I have been announcing it for some time. Unfortunately. There should be no doubt – also unfortunately – that things will not end here until, possibly, the main geostrategic goals of foreign powers serving Zionist policy in the region are realized.

These days, on the occasion of the demonstrations in Iran, we can often hear "political analyses" that mostly or exclusively focus on the "internal causes" of the demonstrations in Iran, citing internal social reasons, lack of democracy (that false argument with which some Western countries regularly justify their introduction of chaos), etc. Such analytical approaches are only partially founded, but they miss the main reasons for the "rebellion" which are on the other side.

The truth is that Iran has internal problems of a social nature, but the fact that these problems are largely a consequence of decades-long blockade under which the world community (whatever it may be) holds Iran is mostly not mentioned. It is necessary to keep this in mind. The theocratic government, of course, does not suit some in Iran, nor many in the West who cannot understand that democracy, say, of the British type, is simply not possible in some cultures.

In other words, certain internal reasons for dissatisfaction in Iran are largely a consequence of the comprehensive and very long Western blockade of the country: the goal of the blockade is to create internal dissatisfaction in order to lead the entire country into destabilization, which is the ultimate goal. This is exactly what is happening now. On the other hand, although Iran is under sanctions, it is not entirely innocent in the wars in the Middle East: in Yemen, in Syria, especially in Iraq, Lebanon has long been on the brink of war, etc. So, Iran as a regional power has serious ideological-religious motives, or religious-political motives for a certain (Shiite) hegemonization in the Middle East, and in this it confronts a powerful factor of instability called Saudi Arabia. The tragedy is that neither side sees that by their mutual rivalry and destruction, they are working exclusively for the most powerful force in the Middle East – for the interests of Israel, led by Zionist ideology and policy.

This brings us to the main factor in the attempt to destabilize Iran. Namely, Iran and Turkey are the only two remaining regional powers that hinder Zionist comfort and prospects. Saudi Arabia is an excellent ally of Zionism and the US, which are a service to Zionist policy in the Middle East, and only for that reason is it not yet time to attempt to destabilize Saudi Arabia. (Although it is on African soil, Egypt, as a very important country, is already largely an American vassal.) Turkey has already been brought into big problems by Zionist and Western interests, using the same scenario every time: destabilization from within; engaging internal factors of dissatisfaction. Now it is Iran's turn, which is in conflict with non-Shiite communities and policies in the Middle East, but it is also a serious threat to Zionist interests, and that is the main reason why it is under sanctions and why it is now being destabilized. External factors of destabilization – and they are, I repeat, key in this case – know that Iran is a country with great economic and human potential, a country whose people are extremely aware and therefore relatively homogenized, with full awareness proud of its rich and long tradition, etc. In addition, it also has a very important strategic depth that is important in case of a direct attack, etc. That is why they do not attack it directly, but weaken it with sanctions, while arming Saudi Arabia to exhaust Iran in the Middle Eastern countries, and now they are trying to destabilize it from within – using the proven method by which regimes have been overthrown and entire societies destroyed worldwide. This is clearly about synchronized acts of destabilizing a relatively strong and very important country in the Middle East which, with all of the above, advocates for the interests of the Palestinians more than any Arab country.

Therefore, political analyses of the current demonstrations in Iran as internal dissatisfaction and the need for democratization of society, for more social justice, etc., do not grasp the essence of the matter, because the main factors of destabilization are outside Iran itself: the destabilization of such an important country must be viewed in a broader, especially regional context – in the context of the total destruction of the Middle East, which is being realized in line with the interests of Zionist policy, which President Trump so heartily and comprehensively articulates.
