RUDO, (Patria) - Let's remember the victims of Rudo and learn from Rato Rajak.
The former mayor of Srebrenica, Ćamil Duraković, wrote this on Twitter, after the mayor of Rudo, Rato Rajak, paid tribute to the Bosniaks killed in that municipality at the beginning of the last war in BiH.
Members of the victims' families walked through the streets of Rudo today and threw roses from the bridge over the Lim River into the water in memory of more than 100 Bosniaks killed in the early nineties.
Delegations also laid bouquets of flowers at the Memorial Center in Stari Rudo. This center also houses a memorial room with photographs of the victims, whose names are also engraved on memorial plaques.
The mayor of the Municipality of Rudo, Rato Rajak, paid tribute to the murdered this year as well. He said that everyone should have more compassion for others when it comes to tragedies.
One of the most famous Bosnian-Herzegovinian directors, Dino Mustafić, said that "such steps by individuals from mainstream politics can restore trust and a culture of compassion instead of lies and denial."
There are such people on all sides in BiH, Mustafić commented, reports the Patria News Agency.
