(Patria) - The Society of BiH Journalists has been informed by colleagues reporting yesterday from the meeting at the Mostar "Aluminij" factory that they were denied statements and information from the meeting held by union members and the Supervisory Board with the President of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović and the Federal Minister of Finance Jelka Milićević.
Although journalists from BiH newsrooms waited for several hours in front of "Aluminij", only journalists from the Croatian Nova TV received statements.
The Society of BiH Journalists points out that any selective giving of statements to "selected" media can only cause suspicion about what was discussed and that the truth is being hidden for some reason, and certainly not contribute to solving this major problem.
"Only through timely and truthful reporting can a true picture of the events at Aluminij be created, which is of great importance both for solving the problems in that company, as well as for the numerous workers whose fate is at stake, and their family members," stated the Society of BiH Journalists.
