The Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team was a guest of Belarus today in the first match of the qualifications for the 2016 European Championship in Poland. The match ended in a 25:25 draw.
The match was very exciting throughout, and at the end, the Bosnia and Herzegovina team had a shot for victory, but the goal was not scored. The Belarusians also threatened, but they also missed.
Our national team players put on an excellent performance today at the “Čižovka Arena” against the favored Belarusians and held a lead for most of the match. The most efficient player for our team was Faruk Vražalić with seven goals, while Duško Čelica scored four. Benjamin Burić made nine saves.
The match was officiated by the Czech pair Horaček – Novotny. Our handball players play their next match on Sunday in Tuzla, where they will host the Danish national team.
