(Patria) - The President of the Independent Board of the BiH Parliament, Enes Obralija, confirmed for Faktor that Dragan Andrić is convincingly first on the shortlist of candidates for the Deputy Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
Andrić, who currently works as a police officer and chief inspector at SIPA, scored 97.85 points in the evaluation, which represents a significant advantage over the second-placed Đuro Knežević, who achieved 55 points.
Third on the list is Igor Marić with 45 points, who did not qualify among the successful candidates, while fourth is Kristijan Suknjov with 31.4 points.
- We had four candidates who attended the interview and all were scored - Obralija said.
The competition for the election of the Deputy Director of SIPA was announced after the previous director, Zoran Galić, was dismissed.
Galić has been on the run since July 9 last year, and the BiH Prosecutor's Office issued an international arrest warrant for him on August 8.
He is suspected of organized crime, abuse of office, receiving gifts, and smuggling excise goods, including tobacco, alcohol, and fuel.
The Prosecutor's Office accuses him of abusing his position during his tenure as director of the BiH Border Police, which he held from 2014 to 2023.
