Dr. Kordić: There is no panic, maximum caution is most important

(Patra) - Dr. Mario Kordić, Director of the Mostar Health Center, addressed the press conference of the HNC Crisis Staff today and appealed to citizens to stay home because a crucial period of the fight against the coronavirus is ahead of us.

"This moment we have reached is what we have been communicating all along. This is that famous third and fourth week that is coming. All these numbers and the growth that is happening will happen to us. These two weeks are more important than the previous ones, so we must become more serious," Kordić said, N1 reports.

He stated that he believes there is transmission of the disease in the community, which he expects to confirm.

"We think there is transmission of the disease in the community, we will probably confirm it in the coming days. Maximum caution is most important now. Many people we test will probably have mild or no symptoms, but will be positive. The next two to three weeks are very important, otherwise a very ugly scenario awaits us. We are still aiming to slow down the infection.".

Kordić reiterated the appeal to stay at home in the coming days.

"One more message; Please, stay in your homes for the next two weeks. We have procedures, call your doctors, consult them, please be responsible so that in the end we don't have enough staff to help you.".

"There is no panic, you just need to comply with one thing," Kordić said, adding that there are people who are asymptomatic but spread the infection.

"People, do we need orders for someone to tell us to protect our health? This has been going on for four months? I don't care which staff makes the decision, it's important that we send a message! How we get out of this epidemic depends only on us. We work every day, everything you see in Mostar did not fall from the sky, everything is coordinated. You only need to do one thing. Stay home, turn on a good movie and stay with your family for two weeks. Is that so difficult?", Kordić appealed to the citizens of HNC.
